Open Meetings

The following Student Government meetings are open to ALL students:

  • Category 5: Mondays at 8:00 p.m. at the University Center, Storm Surge
  • Senate: Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. at the Shalala Student Center Senate Room

Freshman Leadership Council

Apply Now! Applications are open until Sunday, September 3 at 5:00 p.m.

Please note: you do need to be a freshman (first year, first semester in college) student to apply.

*All Senators must join at least one committee, which meets once a week at the following times:

  • Academic Affairs
  • University Affairs
  • Public Relations
  • Policy & Finance

The Senate passes legislation presented by students and members of Student Government. Senate consists of four committees that initiate projects and legislation. The four committees are University Affairs, Academic Affairs, Policy and Finance, and Public Relations. All Senators are responsible for attending one committee meeting each week in addition to the weekly Senate meeting.

Energy and Conservation Organization

Agency Board Freshman Seat: Every year the board is selected in the spring semester and one spot is reserved for an incoming student. This spot is only available for a Freshmen/New Student. Apply before September 3!

Green Committee: Green Committee members assist ECO Agency board members on their projects and help execute ECO Agency events. Apply before September 3!

Elections Commission

The Elections Commission coordinates all aspects of SG elections in the fall and spring. It also enforces elections codes and presents violations to the Court.
